Test Engineering Intern
Description
Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.
Core Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with the analysis, design, and optimization of test equipment subsystems

Update and maintain electrical schematics for test equipment and circuit boards

Assist in electrical build, debugging, and commissioning of new test equipment

Analyze historical test data to measure test equipment reliability and detect failures

Understand engineering concepts and how to appropriately apply them in day-to-day projects

Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.

Communication and Collaboration

Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.
Education and Qualification
-
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience with electro-mechanical systems, PLCs, sensors and actuators

Understanding of the fundamentals of schematics, circuit design, and analysis

Ability to perform statistical analysis on data and generate conclusions

Must have reliable transportation to the office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving

Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
