Embedded Software Intern

Description

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Software design areas may include but are not limited to: Battery Management Systems (BMS), Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Motor Controllers (MCU’s), DC/DC Converters, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).

  • Maintain and enhance existing embedded software to improve reliability, performance, and compliance with updated standards. (UL1998, ISO26262, IEC61508, etc.).

  • Investigate and resolve software defects, field issues, and customer-reported problems, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.

  • Communication and Collaboration

  • Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.
