The Problems You'll Solve

During this 10-week internship, you will:

  • Support Product Launches & Collateral: Assist in the creation and curation of marketing assets, including product one-pagers, sales slide decks, and website content. You’ll help ensure our messaging is consistent across all customer-facing materials.
  • Contribute to Market Research: Help the team "pulse" the market by conducting competitive research and persona analysis. 
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a connective tissue between Product Marketing and the Creative/Brand teams. You’ll learn how to draft high-quality creative briefs and ensure that projects stay on schedule and aligned with product goals.
  • Campaign & Demand Gen Support: Partner with the Integrated Marketing team to help execute product-focused campaigns. You’ll assist in drafting copy for paid activations, social media, and email nurtures to help drive product awareness.
  • Sales Enablement & Logistics: Support the "Go-To-Market" (GTM) engine by organizing internal training materials and assets that help our Sales and Business Development teams explain the value of Carta to potential customers.
  • Data & Performance Tracking: Assist in post-launch reporting by gathering data on how new features or campaigns are performing. You’ll help the team synthesize this data to understand what’s working and what we should iterate on next.

You’ll be joining our Marketing team, as part of our Product and Customer Marketing team. Marketing is the engine for growth at Carta.   • Current Student: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science majors preferred).

  • Adaptability: You love a challenge and thrive when things are moving quickly. You can pivot your focus without losing momentum.
  • Strong Communicator: You are a confident writer and speaker who can collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders.
  • Curious & Analytical: You have a strong interest in the Venture Capital and Private Equity ecosystems and are eager to learn the "why" behind our event strategy.
  • "All-In" Attitude: You have a "no task too small" mentality. Whether it’s researching venues or helping manage a virtual green room, you are ready to jump in and help the team win.
  • Availability: Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week program. (Optional: Willingness to travel to select event locations if required).

As a Public Policy Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in public policy, government affairs, and strategic communications at a high-growth technology company that is driving the future of private capital. During this 10-week internship, we are looking for proactive candidates who are eager to learn how policy intersects with innovation, entrepreneurship, and private capital to support our efforts to lower barriers, expand access, and strengthen private capital. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and thrives in environments where "fast-paced." 

You will bring a creative, execution-oriented mindset to supporting efforts to advance Carta’s policy priorities—The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and thrives in environments where "fast-paced." You are a holistic thinker who is excited to learn how different event strategies complete the user journey. Above all, you possess an "owner mentality"—no detail is too small if it means delivering a delightful and enriching experience for our customers and prospects.

During this 10-week internship, you will help the policy team stay organized, informed, and responsive in a fast-moving regulatory environment. In this role, you will:

  • Legislative tracking: Support tracking federal and state legislative and regulatory developments that impact private capital 
  • Research and analysis: Research and analyze emerging policy issues that impact private markets and innovation 
  • Content: Help draft weekly newsletter, social content, and insights on topics impacting private capital
  • Stakeholder management: Support stakeholder mapping and outreach efforts
  • Project management: Coordinate across workstreams to ensure events, content, and other projects stay on track
  • Engagement: Attend congressional hearings, participate in policymaker meetings, and connect with external stakeholders, including trade associations, entrepreneurs, and investors 

The Team You'll Work With

As a Public Policy Intern, you’ll support Carta’s Policy team and gain exposure to how a fast-growing technology company engages with policymakers, ecosystem partners, and industry stakeholders to drive policy outcomes to expand access to private capital and bolster ownership opportunities. You will also collaborate across our Marketing team and business units to learn how policy can drive value for our customers: venture capital, private equity, private credit, and the companies and investors they serve.

As an Event Marketing Intern, you will spend 10 weeks embedded in our high-velocity Integrated Marketing team, gaining hands-on experience in how world-class events drive business growth.

  • Support Event Execution: Assist in planning and production of live and virtual event formats, from intimate invite-only activations to large-scale webinars. You’ll help manage all pre and post event details including timelines, attendee list and invite coordination, registration, logistics and reporting. 
  • Contribute to Demand Gen: Learn how event programming accelerates the sales funnel by assisting with lead capture processes and tracking how events result in measurable impact.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work across Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, and Customer Marketing and other marketing functions to ensure event assets (landing pages, emails, social copy) are on brand, support event objectives, and ship on time. 
  • Association, Media Company, and Event Ecosystem Research: Research and identify potential partnerships and influencers with platforms that can amplify Carta’s message
  • On-the-Fly Problem Solving: Support the team in solving real-time logistical puzzles, maintaining a proactive "jump-in" attitude during high-pressure event days.
  • Data & ROI Analysis: Assist in post-event reporting by gathering data on attendance and engagement to help the team inform future investment and strategy.

We manage an ambitious calendar of live and virtual events that scale from high-touch gatherings to large-scale premium experiences. Our team moves fast, and we are looking for an intern who is eager to get their hands dirty, learn the ropes of the industry, and see how a technology leader operates from the inside.
