IT Application Intern

Description

The IT Applications Intern will be part of the IT Applications team working on a variety of projects. Additionally he or she will have an opportunity to learn about how the technologies work within a business and to contribute to development and support of enterprise applications.

The duration of the internship will be around 12 weeks from May/June 2026 to August/September 2026.

Essential Functions

  • Learn about different areas of the technology in business

  • Participate in database and applications development

  • Report development for all phases of the software development lifecycle

  • Work with an individual mentor on assigned tasks

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar programs, with graduation date between 12/2025 - 6/2028. First-year Master’s students are also eligible required

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required

  • Classroom or work experience in technical or professional writing highly desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with a major programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or C/C++

  • Knowledge of design, development, and maintenance of SQL database

  • Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
