Software Engineering / Computer Science Intern - Warehouse Operations & Analytics

Description

We are seeking a driven and innovative Software Engineering or Computer Science Intern to join our team and contribute to optimizing consumables cartridge manufacturing operations. This role will focus on developing software tools to streamline processes such as warehouse fulfillment and replenishment, scrap reporting and processes automation. The intern will also support performing data analytics and mining to gain insightful and presenting meaningful knowledge in dashboards with tools such as Power BI. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, quality, and IT teams to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with warehouse and quality teams to understand current scrap reporting and warehouse workflow processes.

  • Design and develop software tools/applications to automate manual and repetitive tasks within consumables cartridge manufacturing.

  • Extract, clean, and analyze operational data from multiple sources to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

  • Create interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize warehouse KPIs, scrap trends, and operational metrics.

  • Support automation initiatives, including scripting and workflow optimization, to enhance overall operational efficiency.

  • Assist in implementing data mining techniques to uncover patterns and insights to support continuous improvement.

  • Write well-documented, maintainable code in languages such as Python, SQL, or other relevant technologies.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, engineering and quality, to ensure seamless integration of new tools and analytics solutions.

  • Participate in testing, debugging, and deployment of software tools.
