We're seeking a motivated Data Engineer Intern to support the implementation and documentation of enterprise data products. This internship offers a structured opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in data engineering by assisting with data product implementation, documenting data workflows and standards, and contributing to process improvements in collaboration with cross‑functional teams across the organization.
Intern Duties & Responsibilities

Support Data Product Process Implementation: Assist with establishing and documenting a standardized Data Product process to ensure consistent, efficient, and well‑governed delivery across the organization.

Review Current Practices: Evaluate existing Data Product workflows and documentation. Identify gaps or areas needing clarification.

Define the Data Product Process: Help outline the end‑to‑end process steps, including roles, responsibilities, and key stages.

Create Standard Documentation: Develop clear, simple templates and process guides. Document step‑by‑step procedures for Data Product implementation.

Support Tool and Workflow Alignment: Help connect process steps to current tools (e.g., documentation platforms).

Validate the Process: Participate in walkthroughs, gather feedback, and update documentation accordingly.

Pilot the Process: Apply the documented process to a pilot Data Product. Capture findings and improvement recommendations.

Finalize and Share Documentation: Incorporate final updates and support knowledge sharing with relevant teams.
Qualifications

Education: MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

GPA: Min 3.0

Familiarity with common data tools, such as SQL, Excel, or similar analytical platforms preferred.

Foundational knowledge of data governance, data quality, or documentation standards preferred.

Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Snowflake, or Power BI and their data services preferred.

Basic understanding of key data concepts, including data pipelines, data products, and the data lifecycle.
