Are you ready to gain hands-on experience and make a real impact? Weatherford is seeking a motivated AI Intern for Summer 2026 at our Houston location.
As an AI Intern, you will gain exposure to real-world applications of artificial intelligence, data analysis, and automation within a global energy organization. This internship is designed to help you grow both personally and professionally while providing insight into the oil and gas industry and Weatherford’s role in driving innovation through technology.
What You’ll Do

Receive coaching and mentoring to understand Weatherford’s organization, systems, and AI-related initiatives.

Support internal projects focused on artificial intelligence, automation, data-driven decision-making, and process improvement.

Assist with developing, testing, or analyzing AI, machine learning, or data-related solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Engineering, Finance, and Business stakeholders.

Analyze data and contribute insights that support business improvements and critical customer outcomes.

Document findings, contribute to presentations, and present project outcomes to senior leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

Provide structured feedback at the end of the internship experience.
What You’ll Bring

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, Finance, or an AI-focused field (Master’s students may also be considered).

Coding experience demonstrated through academic projects, personal projects, or prior internship experience (Python, SQL, Java, R, or similar languages preferred).

Exposure to or interest in AI, machine learning, data analytics, automation, or related technical disciplines (technical experience is a plus).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Solid organizational and project management skills.

Work Environment
This role is primarily based in an office environment with occasional site visits. Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, and walking. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required during site visits.
